Person Rope
What muscles does skipping rope impact?

A few days ago, I decided to skip rope for my whole gym period (I am in high school.) The period is about one hour. The first 15 minutes I didn’t do much, but then I skipped rope for about the last 40 minutes. Aside from when I missed a jump had to start again, it was all continuous with no breaks. I had a one person rope, and was going at a brisk pace. The next day, some muscles in my pelvis and legs were sore. What specific leg and pelvic muscles was I using?

You are using all of the leg, calf, and hip muscles plus the back, feet, abdominals, and shoulders. Specifically there are just too many to list but the major ones are the gastrocsoleus, quads, hamstrings, hip adductors, hip abductors, all of the gluteals, abdominals, back muscles, obliques, transverse abdominal, deltoids, rotator cuff, biceps, triceps, brachio-radialis, brachialis, wrist flexors and extensors, lats, pectoralis major, rhomboids, and trapezius. The list is significantly longer than that but hope this helps.
