Wetsuit Diving
What thickness wetsuit should I be wearing if I am diving to depths of about 20m in the med this summer ?
I am crewing on a ship which will be sailing around the med this summer and i will be looking to do some diving as we sail. I am looking to buy a quality wetsuit but don’t really know what thickness i will need if im diving to depths of a round 20m in different locations around the sea (Anywhere from Sardinia to Tunisia). Any recomendations would be much apreciated!
Hi Eyes,
Depends how much you feel the cold. I use a 5mm Semi-dry and find it suits me fine for the Med. If your planning on doing a lot of repetative dives you would be better off with a dry suit though. Dont buy cheap, and dont but a steamer, buy the best Semi you can afford (recommend mares Isotherm), a budget of around £150 – £200 should see you right.
